Cree launches fully luminous LR22 architectural troffer with recessed flat-panel design

LED chip, lamp and lighting maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA has launched the LR22 LED troffer, a fully luminous, highly diffused architectural fixture that incorporates a recessed flat-panel design to blend into any ceiling.

Featuring Cree TrueWhite technology, the new LED troffers offer a combination of even light distribution and low-glare lighting for commercial applications targeting superior color quality and sustainable economics with increased energy efficiency and rapid payback.

Offered in both neutral and cool color temperatures of 3500K and 4000K, the LR22 comes in a 2-by-2-foot configuration and has luminous efficacy of 100 lumens per watt. Compared with fluorescent lighting, the new troffer can deliver energy savings of up to 40%, it is reckoned, and is backed by the firm's 10 year warranty.

Featuring on-board 0-10V dimming capabilities, the LR22 allows increased design flexibility in addition to increased energy savings and reduced maintenance savings when using continuous dimming or energy-saving controls.

The LR22 LED troffer is sold through Cree's lighting sales channels throughout the USA and Canada.
