Epitaxial deposition, process, and metrology equipment maker Veeco Instruments Inc of Plainview NY, USA has priced its public offering of 5 million shares of its common stock at $23.75 per share (announced on 26 October) to yield gross proceeds of $118.8m. The offering includes a 30-day option for the underwriters to purchase up to 750,000 additional shares to cover over-allotments.
The offering is expected to be completed on 3 November, subject to customary closing conditions. Veeco intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions.
