CIS PV maker Odersun expands board with new sales & marketing officer

Odersun AG of Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, which designs and manufactures flexible thin-film solar cells and modules using proprietary CISCuT (copper indium disulfide on copper tape) reel-to-reel manufacturing technology, has appointed Uwe Hering as chief sales & marketing officer.

The implementation of the chief sales & marketing function at board level underlines the importance of sales and product marketing to Odersun's development, says the firm.

Hering has a master’s degree in electrical engineering and brings experience of sales, business development and product marketing in the semiconductor industry. He has worked internationally in various executive positions, most recently for CoreOptics, where he set up international sales and product marketing activities and led cross-national teams.

“We will benefit significantly from Uwe Hering’s experience and understanding in developing new markets and his knowledge of introducing innovative technologies in customized products,” reckons CEO Dr Hein van der Zeeuw.

“Odersun has a unique technology, which enables a customized range of products in the solar market,” says Hering.
